Meet the hands behind Fire Hawk Designs

January 21, 2025 | Meet an entrepreneur

It’s Friday night, and we’re about to start a fire, but the wood is wet, the wind is howling, and there’s no Blitz. You’re standing there, blowing with all your might to get the fire going while trying to fan it with paper plates. It’s really not cool!

What you need is a  Firehawk Bellow!

Introducing the team at Firehawk Designs. This team is dedicated to exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous design details, and creativity. Firehawk Bellows are perfect for various uses, including braaing, camping, and travel adventures. The bellow also makes for  a thoughtful gift that carries the mark of a genuine top quality bellow  with their signature handle wraps, in 8 colour variations

You are offered the option of two materials to choose from for the bellows.

  • Imported Birch plywood, which offers strength, durability, and lightness.
  • Caramel Bamboo, which provides a darker colour while maintaining a modern aesthetic and robustness.

When selecting your Bellow,  you can choose from three unique shapes: the Shield, Ace, and Arrow. The shape you select does not affect how the bellow functions; it’s simply a matter of personal preference—Warren is the fire starter at home, so the choice is his 🙂

I truly appreciate how each product is carefully handcrafted with attention to detail. There is something special about handmade items. The quality is always superior, making them durable and unique. This Firehawk bellow not only serves as a useful fireplace accessory, but it is also stylish enough for decorative purposes around the fireplace.

Looking after your Bellow
  • It’s a natural product, so it’s best to store your bellows indoors where it can’t get sun and rain damage over time. Use leather feed eg: Dubbin to keep the leather soft.
  • While pumping, do not insert metal nozzle directly into the hot coals.
  • Don’t rest the bellow against the hot fireplace structure, otherwise it may damage the bellow.

Another fun product that they have available is their tried-and-tested beach bat sets. These bats are not as heavy as other beach bats, yet strong enough for a tennis ball. These bats are made from imported Birch plywood for strength and durability.

Whether you’re braaing at home, camping, or embarking on an adventure, the Firehawk bellow is the perfect tool you never knew you needed.
